Citizen Kane (1941) by Orson Welles is about the history of Charles Foster Kane whose dying word was “Rosebud” and the mystery behind it. Deemed as the greatest movie of all time, I could understand its reputation as it encompasses many different themes, but I found it less entertaining after background stories and flashbacks. It’s got a fantastic script and performances. What impressed me the most was some of the set designs and cinematography. The only problem I had with it was its running time of about 2 hours. Recommended.
