21 Jump Street

Alec Calderbank

It’s the kind of lame comedy you’d expect in many ways but it does a nice job of reversing the roles of college nerd and jock as they go undercover in their jobs as adult cops. Their friendship is explored and the character growth is matched from the consistently funny one liners and setups to the special effects and cringe worthy predicaments. My favourite aspect of it was the strong comedy throughout which kept the whole thing together without any real lulls and let time pass quickly. Always a good sign of a comedy.
