Now You See Me 1Movies about magic are not so different from magic tricks – they both depend on you wanting to believe what you’re seeing. Now You See Me is a fun movie about magic, although not nearly as good of one as it thinks.

It’s a bit hard for me to come up with much to say about this movie without getting into spoilers, which I don’t really want to do. I suspect this is the kind of thing that either works for you or it doesn’t, depending largely on how willing you are to suspend disbelief. There is a lot of disbelief to suspend here, so much that it’s almost a magic trick in and of itself.
