‘Parental Guidance’ is sort of like a family friendly ‘Meet the Parents’ for kids. It stars Bette Midler and Billy Crystal as parents (Diane and Artie) to Marisa Tomei (Alice) and grandparents to her 3 children. Due to their severely different parenting styles, Alice has kept her parents at a distance since the birth of her children and had intended to keep it that way until her and her husband, Phil (Tom Everett Scott), have to travel on business and need someone to stay with the kids for the week. For the first time in years, Alice goes head to head with her father while Diane desperately tried to keep the peace and please everyone.
