‘X-Men: First Class’ is the story of the beginning of the “X-Men”.  We see into the histories of Charles Xavier/Professor X (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and how and where their lives intersect for the first time.  It takes place right smack in the middle of the Cold War and Kevin Bacon plays the villain mastermind Sebastian Shaw.

The cast is really good.  I thought Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence were great and I loved the fun tie-ins to future X-Men.  The relationship between Professor X and Magneto is pretty great and I really liked the dynamic between James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.  Also, just to bring up Kevin Bacon for a second, I really loved him as a bad guy.  Kevin Bacon is pretty awesome sometimes.  Anyways, overall, no complaints about the casting or the acting.  I thought the film was fast…
